What do I have to do in order not to lose my data when changing phone?
If you are changing phone, make sure not to lose your steps data!
To do so, follow these steps:
Check if all your steps data is available in Apple Health:
- Open Apple Health
- Tap on “Steps”
- Scroll down and tap on “Show all Data”
- Check if the wanted data is available
Install StepsApp on your new phone:
- Open App Store
- Search for StepsApp
- Install the latest version of StepsApp using the same Apple ID as your old phone
Set up the app and restore your purchase:
- Open StepsApp
- Allow Access to “Motion & Fitness”
- Tap on “Get Started”
- To restore your purchase, tap on Settings and then on the Purchase View
- Tap on the top right corner button “Restore”
Import your steps data from Apple Health:
- Open StepsApp
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Apple Health
- Tap on “Import now”
